The project activities initially focus on Sagarmatha National Park (SNP) in Nepal, Central Karakoram National Park (CKNP) in Pakistan and activities related to Qomolongma Nature Preserve (QNP) in Tibet Autonomous Region of PR China are planned. In these areas the project will support the development and implementation of management plans, streamlining the use of the decision support tools and methods in the planning, management, monitoring and evaluation processes in collaboration with the stakeholders involved in natural resource management. As the project develops, a larger stakeholder partnership including key stakeholders in the region is being established to identify strategies for dealing with transboundary issues and to establish and contribute to regional learning networks.
